standing up out of my chair and instantly forgetting what i was about to do and needing to be still for two minutes for my brain to fix the short circuit
Advice for Remy, Day 192. Make an effort to remember people's names. This is one of those times where it's such a small thing, but can make a huge difference. I find that there's nothing more likely to bring you crashing back down to earth and make you feel that a person doesn't really think much of you than if they can't remember your name. I'm one of those people who gets embarassed on other peoples' behalves, so I not only have the embarassment of feeling small, but also I take on their embarassment at forgetting it. And if I'm ever in the situation where I forget someone's name I just want to be swallowed up by the ground, so I don't have to look at the disappointment written across their face. My worst nightmare is having to show somebody around at work, introducing them to loads of other people. Suddenly, the names of people I'm friends with and have worked closely alongside for 10 years disappear from my brain, and I turn into a sweaty ball of anxiety. If you're a naturally forgetful person like me then it's inevitable, so it's good to find ways to combat it. With large groups you always have the in-built excuse that noboy expects you to remember people's names initially. Starting a new job, for example, when you're being introduced to the office you can throw in a jokey 'Well I'm never going to remember all those names!' and hide behind that for a few months. But in day-to-day life you either need to have some kind of mnemonic or memory trick (eg he's got blonde hair like Boris Johnson, Boris Becker won Wimbledon, Vinny Jones played for Wimbledon and was in Lock Stock with Jason Statham, Jason Orange was in Take That with Gary Barlow, who was lead judge on the X-Factor alongside Louis Walsh - LOUIS!) which is probably not advisable, or just write it down. You might feel like an elderly person or a 1950's LA detective, but I can guarantee it's better than seeing someone's expression when you call them Claudio instead of Steve.
A start.
This start is due to a sad occasion. The latest case of death in our fandom inflated my perfectionism. It made me realise it’s better to start with something than not to start at all. And I take from it not to wait. Not to wait til the "right time" to do things. The time is now. For anything. Period.
So this is the start of Eds Snowflakes. It’s dedicated to all deceased fans and those who are to follow.
Thank you Laura-Lisa for being the spark that brought this idea to life. May you rest in peace!

Am I crazy?
I will not speak fully of it until I can prove it.
Such accusations can land a person in jail . . . and I love my father.
There are memories that keep coming up. Some i know are certain and others I cannot draw where they come from.
I don't want to make up memories for attention but I'm distressed trying to piece them together. I tell myself to let them come to me, and they do so in nightmares.
Dreams aren't so trustworthy.
I don't know what's real. But something doesn't feel right.
Am I crazy? Do people forget traumatic events so erratically?
There are lots of people who mistake their imagination for their memory.
