@memorytidex - All the tribes did amazing during the war with the Abyss, however inbetween her shifts at the shop, she always tried to take time to head to the Scions of the Canopy. Mualani doesn't know what happened to Kinich during the fight, but she was so worried. They'd lost so many friends, her and Kachina always came by to check on their unconscious friend every day.
This trip, she brought along some snacks for Nicte, always making sure to come by and take care of her too. However, the moment she walked in to see him up and awake, she gasped so loudly. Almost dropping the basket of snacks for Nicte. Any other time, she'd apologize profusely, but she thought she lost her friend!
"You're awake!" She hurried over to give him a tight embrace, already can't wait to tell Kachina. She doesn't process the idea that he was in pain or not. "We were all so worried about you!" Ajaw is being ignored, her attention on Kinich.
( if this doesn't work, please, please let me know and i'll send a new one )
The war, that dreaded invasion has left him worse for wear than anyone has ever been, & honestly, even now, everything feels muddled. Nowadays, Kinich was told by anyone who knew him, to take it easy and rest, especially after experiencing impromptu pain, all thanks to those forsaken dragon wings that-
Right, it all goes back to those wings, where he had completely lost his senses from the sudden shock with how violent they came out on his back.
Some days, his thoughts goes back to what could have happened, had no one truly manage to intervene and get throught him.
Ah, everything still feels muddled...
There were times, he did wake but only to focus on little things, anything to not stay too idle. Sometimes, he would even pick up things left at his door, since not everyone can just waltz right in. It'd be rude anyways.
They would leave things at his door, trinkets and food that does not easily spoil if left in the open. Just a gesture of goodwill and a silent message for him to recover soon.
Hardly, did he ever step out, especially in broad daylight but all the same, Kinich was conscious enough to take care of paying attention to Nicte, well aware how the aforementioned barely left his side either.
As soon as he can feel someone talk, did the tall man perk up, if only by a little.
It take him a moment to process things and while he did flinch at the hug, did the Hunter grit his teeths to push back the pain that came from being touched.
Yeah, the wounds at his spine definitely needed more time to heal.
Then again, Kinich would have felt less in his usual getup but he wore loose this time around, just so bandaged injuries can breathe better and not feel suffocated.
''How long..'', how long did he even slept for again?.
''Mualani?'', only then did he realize it is her.
