A few years ago, I went through a phase of deep fascination with Lil Bub. I watched every video and read all the updates and followed her every move on the internet. The charm wore off a little bit as the marketing machine behind her got bigger, but I still think she’s cute as all get out. It would be easy to write off her album announcement as an empty stunt, and I was ready to do just that until I watched the announcement video.

This “in the Studio” clip is brilliantly self-aware. These are smart guys with a cute cat who clearly recognize the absurdity of their situation and are having a ton of fun with it. I can’t wait to hear this record.

I chose to work with the inhabitants to create a "memory map" of the neighborhood where I live in Berlin: Neukölln. During 48 hours, I proposed them to tell me a memory they have from the neighborhood, and I represented them using drawings and words from their testimonies. As time goes on those drawings made a "memory map", which told of the people and of the time spent together.
