Behind the paper she was feigning to read a wirey smile cuts through her cold facade. This could’ve been a tepid moment of peace and silence. She’d continue loitering with a paper to her face all day in front of their coffee truck and say nothing…but goodness knows she can’t help a challenge.

Her tone dripping with saccharine laughter. Rare she ever laughed and even then you’d catch those close by holding their breath. The flash of a smile stretched on her ruby lips and her gaze locking in read danger. She was looking right through her. Who knew Rocket had such candor in their ranks…or naivety.
