@scaeri:
WITH HER HEAD LOWERED and eyes focused at the hardwood floor beneath them, she hadn’t even noticed the other approach her from behind until his voice echoed into the room around them, his hushed tone kept low to avoid startling her. Although she considered him a close friend, someone she could admit a n y t h i n g to, she kept herself hesitant. Despite the months that had gone by since the death of her beloved pet fish, Merlin, Aeri had yet to move on. How could she POSSIBLY admit to such an insignificant thing?
She quickly fought back the fighting tears that stung at the whites of her eyes before perking her head upward, taking a sidestep in order to face the male as a forced smile curls at her lips.
❛ — What do you mean? I’m fine, totally !
⊰♯『ӎ』♯⊱ Mark knew his gut was URGING him to see the female for a reason. Upon walking in, the way her facial expression held as he overlooked her face; he was sure s o m e t h i n g was bothering her and he didn’t like it one bit. The male was the caring type especially when it came to his friends and family so seeing the other pretend as if she weren’t feeling some way only caused him to want to be there and help her out even more. What kind of friend would he be if he didn’t? As he approached her, he reached out to rest a hand onto her shoulder; head leaning down a bit to get a better look of her face as he expressed his concern.
“ Are you SURE you’re okay? C’mon... I can see right through you. “
