Melo Melo, which has 6 locations in So Cal, specializes in coconut jelly. Coconut jelly is made with fresh coconut milk and coconut water. They have more variations of coconut jelly (with added fresh fruit, matcha, red beans, coffee, ube, chocolate, avocado) than any other place that sells coconut jelly. They even have durian coconut jelly.

A single small coconut jelly is $6 and the larger sizes that are flavored are $9 - $12. The coconut jelly is served in glass jars. Bring ten jars back and get a free coconut jelly. I thought I didn’t like coconut but I like coconut jelly. It’s light yet filling, all natural, healthy, and not too sweet. The texture is soft like soft tofu pudding.

Red bean coconut jelly ($9): Coconut jelly with whole red beans and some red bean paste. This was sweeter than the coconut jelly from Coconut Jelly King but perhaps it’s because the red beans were sweetened? Also the jelly broke apart and was clumpy compared to Coconut Jelly King’s.

Oatmeal coconut jelly ($12): The oatmeal is at the bottom of the jar but also seems to be blended with the coconut jelly. The oatmeal still had a bit of chewiness. The texture was smoother than the red bean coconut jelly. Definitely sweeter than Coconut Jelly King but they likely sweetened the oatmeal.

Coconut jelly should be consumed or refrigerated immediately. Cash is not accepted. Melo Melo is in an Asian strip mall with parking. The shop is cute and small. The jars of coconut jelly are in a clear glass refrigerated case.
