it’s not lame, practically sneaking up on someone you know more than you - legally - should know about, but it wasn’t impossible -- for elliot at least. he’d had access so naturally, he’d go for it. he’d be an idiot not to try. it was an abrupt ending for his short-lived time with jude; one like a ripped page of a book that’d leave him wondering about how things could’ve went wrong, but elliot knew they didn’t - more like they didn’t have to. jude is not the first to stop his sessions early. some would feel uncomfortable or even paranoid and never show up before their second payment was due and he knew for a fact jude was not one to share and this shouldn’t come as a surprise to him at all. so maybe he was selfish for this. maybe it’s more about elliot peace of mind than jude’s well-being. or maybe it’s both ---- what’s lame is this stupid fucking backtracking of an attempt to make an impressively easy approach to him, with a skateboard tucked under elliot’s arm that he hadn’t touched in almost a year now --- replaced by a huge portfolio folder of whatever’s instead like the complete douche he is --- and interrupting the other’s walk to the skate park. he’d made it clear previously that it’s “ not his thing anymore ” and earned a well-deserved squint of an eye, but that’s clearly not the case at all now - is it, sutter ? ‘ it’s called COMPULSIVE LYING. ’ he attempts to joke the odd/sweet gesture’s truth away with a scoff, the weight of the board in his hand brings nothing but weird nostalgia & something light in his mood. ‘ you’re not the only with issues, man. ’ —— @melodvc
