The mere name always brings a smile to Sehunâs face, no matter where he is. But behind that smile lies the ever present labor of love that it takes to care for his pseudo child.Â
Bathing. Oddly, Vivi doesnât mind baths much to Sehunâs relief. That is, if thereâs something to chew on in the tub. Usually itâs a small, pink rubber ball. Sehun always sparks up conversation as Vivi sits in the soapy water, spending a few moments every now and then to just savor the inner giddiness he feels at his cute companion. Sehun tries his best to keep Vivi warm after the bath is over and he loves watching Viviâs fur fly around in the wake of his hair dryer.Â
Sehun spoils Vivi rotten with treats and he knows itâs so bad, but how can he resist those little eyes? He says the words; sit, roll over, stay. Vivi is still getting the hang of it, but that doesnât stop Sehun from rewarding him generously. A few ear scratches and a belly rub, and itâs as if Vivi is the worldâs most magnificent show dog. Sehun typically feeds Vivi normal dog food, kibbles and some wet food as well. He tries to stay away from feeding Vivi human food, as thatâs one habit heâs afraid might come back to bite him later.Â
+ Tips for teaching tricks
Sehun is a terrible teacher when it comes to tricks. One look at Sehun and a treat finds its way into Viviâs mouth. In the beginning, Sehun would physically push down Viviâs bottom onto the ground to teach him how to sit. Vivi would wag his tail, stay for a few seconds, and then stand up again. At least to Sehun, that indicated mild success. At least his baby was trying his best to listen, and for Sehun that was and still is enough. Vivi is best at her paw trick. Sehun found that to be the easiest to teach her, only having to extend a single hand for him to get the message.Â
He handles Vivi extremely gently. Sehun only raises his voice a little when heâs telling Vivi simple commands, but in general, Sehun is very patient and gracious with Vivi.
Overall, Sehunâs love for Vivi makes caring for him easy. Even when he needs to scoop up Viviâs poop, or scold him a little bit for chewing on the carpet, it never takes away from their friendship. It all began on that fateful encounter in a little pet shop in Seoul, and now theyâve come that much farther.
