Bonney is basically that classic magical girl trope where the young lead gets a magical item that lets them transform into an older alter ego who represents their potential in the future.
I almost used the cowboy Momo outfit where she has a gun because I thought it was really funny, but then I found the one episode where she turns into a pirate, which seemed even more appropriate! 🏴☠️ (Ep. 54 of the '91 series if you're curious.) The magic wands were super fun to draw, but I did run into a problem where the version drawn in the series looked pretty different from the actual toy, so I referenced both versions a little 👍
I wanted to try drawing as many of Tezuka's characters using Abisalli's expression meme.
This week and next week are gonna be busy for me so I decided to just post what I finished recently. I plan to keep going.
