I was able to watch the first two episodes of The Flower Fairies Chinese Lunlun sequel but I can’t figure out how to move forward. I guess it’ll be easier as the series picks up steam and gains a fandom, but I want it sooooooo bad.
One of the things that made Dream Hunter Rem (ドリームハンター麗夢) feel like a magical girl story was her transformation.

The Chinese LunLun sequel is finally coming, and it’s so soon!
This has long been my favorite Japanese animated film, so it was a real thrill to finally get the chance to see it on the big screen with a room full of adoring fans, and during Pride no less.
It was also funny seeing this through the eyes of my husband who doesn’t speak anime fluently but does appreciate a good abstract film, which is definitely is. I told him going in: just think of it as something like Inland Empire or Fire Walk With Me, and, the more I sit with it, the more I feel that’s really valid.
