Ingredients: 1 packet active dry yeast. 1 cup warm water 110F/43C. 1 tablespoon sugar. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon salt. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Cornmeal for dusting. Your favorite pizza toppings and sauce.
Instructions: In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes foamy. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until the dough comes together, then knead it on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until it has doubled in size. Preheat your oven to 475F 245C and place a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet on the center rack. Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal portions. Roll out each portion on a floured surface to your desired pizza thickness. Sprinkle cornmeal on a pizza peel or an inverted baking sheet. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the peel or sheet. Add your favorite pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings. Slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a minute, slice, and enjoy!
