Page of Life
I think the better question is, why do you guys want me to analyze all the tight bootyshorts claspects first?
I might as well copy and paste at this point haha...Pages are the passive weaponization class, their active counterpart being the Knight. Pages generally come into their power late-game, and are pretty much useless up until that point. Having a Page in one of the cardinal aspects (Space or Time) is generally a bad idea because you’ll either a) not get a Genesis Frog in time or b) won’t have any closed time loops or alternate selves to fall back on until it’s too late.
Life is the aspect of, well, life. It’s represented with fire, and stands for desires, power, and drive. Whereas Hope is good for inspiration, Life is one’s will to live. Life can keep you going when Hope fails. The pure determination needed to keep chugging through the worst, despite losing all hope in a good outcome. Life is the primal desire to live. As such, Life aspects make the best healers, literally being able to return users and their targets from the grave.
So then, a Page of Life, once fully realized, should be able to allow others to weaponize their enemy’s life force, or their own life force as needed. Their teammates could more than likely go on suicide missions, like to fight denizens, and as long as the Page knows how to return them to life to fight again, they’ll probably never fall in combat.
I’ve recently learned a new factoid about Pages - rather than directly weaponizing their aspect, it’s more common for Pages to embody their aspect. Much like how a Knight represents what a session lacks, Pages represent what a session needs, and a Page’s presence means that the session will eventually get what it needs, once the Page is fully realized and has come into their powers. See, Pages have a unique ability to create their aspect. It’s very similar to how Maids and Sylphs heal with their aspect, but instead of directing made aspect to healing, the Page simply outputs massive amounts of their aspect directly into the session. So a Page doing a Life-y thing could well bring back all their teammates and enemies within a certain radius. Good in a pinch, but more trouble than it’s worth if not properly trained for and honed.
