KUSH AND PARADISE - BANDS - MELLO RELLO - @REAL_YOUNGRELL - As Today is Day 3 of Kush and Paradise, we take a look into another song from Rell's mixtape Paradise. Today we check out Bands is a real fun song, it has a great Cali feel to it. This song should really get some radio and club play to. Check out what Rell had to say about creating this song.

Mann was runnin through some of his beats for me to hop on. He actually played like 4 seconds of this one & quickly went to another track. I asked him to go back & he was like "for real? I made that so long ago" but I liked it. We were at his spot & I had sketches of the verses already but all I had for the hook was "I Got Bands". Mann came up with the 1st stanza. I took the track home and then I put the rest of the pieces of the puzzle together. Bands is just another fun song that everyone can sing along to and chant. The word bands is just a synonym for stacks, racks, etc..... And it's short for Rubberbands. -- Young Rell

KUSH & PARADISE DAY 2 - UNCLE WILLIE SON FT MIKE C - @REAL_YOUNGRELL FT MIKE C -  This is day 2 of us promoting the new mixtape from Mello Rello aka Young Rell titled "Paradise." Today we are covering probably one of the most interesting songs on the mixtape called Uncle Willie Son. It's said to be derived from the Next Friday movie. With a very melodic slow pace kind of feel wit the song, Rello gives us some chill music just to vibe out to.

Uncle Willie son comes from 'Next Friday' of the classic Ice Cube "Friday" movie series. In-between takes of recording another song I hear Mike on the phone telling someone "I'm Uncle Willie son !!!" I died laughing. From there he made a track and was putting ideas together for his verse. The next day he played it for me. I wrote the hook and my verse that day. It was kind of a accident, one of those things that starts off as joke but ends up actually being tight. That joint was one of the most fun to record off the "Paradise" project. We have a running joke now, you'll see on any of the LongLiveTheFLY members twitter(@real_youngrell) "Bbbbitch I'm Uncle Ruckus son" or "Bbbbitch I'm Ken Griffeys son" spontaneously out of nowhere at any time. This is a new promo we are running for artist that The Kush 901 have some great dealings with. Mello Rello aka Young Rell yesterday dropped a very exciting mixtape called "Paradise." And we are dropping some of our favorite songs from the tape and Rell is giving us the inspiration and concept behind them all. You will also see some visuals from these songs as well. We have some great things working with this hardworking artist out of Nashville, TN. 

"Who Got Them Lbs" produced by Rodney Smooth - sounds like the trap song for people, with references of drugs in some sort. But Rell gives us the real reason behind the song.

Just art imitating real life but the overall message isn't just about selling drugs or coming up in the tree game. It applies to everything. You might have to start off in the mail room but if you stay steadfast, 10 toes down in what you believe in you'll end up with an office on the Top Floor. You got to have that ambition, that drive to strive for excellence & not accept mediocrity & become complacent. "Who Got The lbs" can easily be substituted for "Who Got The Crown" which in turn just means what direction should I be going in to get to the top because I'm coming for that spot. Started off at the bottom, ended up at the top all off the hustle. What a feeling when you're the guy serving the guy who use to serve you. - Young Rell
