It felt prying. It felt trite. But he felt as though he should say something. He’d wish it for Lucina if - God forbid - something were to ever happen to him.

A heartbreaking text

Xander always dwells on foolish things this late. Always makes stupid decisions. He tries to talk himself out of it, but he’s been staring at the old number for so long, now. He doesn’t even know if it’s still in service. 

[11:43 PM] I understand that you have your own life. You have friends and family wherever you are. [11:44 PM] I would never begrudge you for that.[11:45 PM] It would have at least been kind to bid Elise goodbye before you left.

Yes, Elise. She’d been fond of him, hadn’t she?

There’s no response.

[SENT - 1:30AM]: Inigo I am only doing this because your mother won’t, but if you don’t get your ass home from the club I swear.

A pleasant walk around the grounds had taken Emmeryn and Inigo to the woods. The trails were well kept, and the underbrush a minimum, so it was all too easy to spot the cage trap underneath a particularly decorative shrubbery. And inside, something much more colorful than expected, for it wasn’t empty.

Inside was an orange little fox, tail bushy and muzzle covered in the remains of what looked like a tin of food. It sat in the center, tail lashing about as it stared straight at the pair of them. 

Of all the things Laslow offered to do for her, anything involving her hair wasn’t the best idea for her. It had been days since she had properly cared for it, the dye on her hair was starting to fade away, and it was about time she had one of her servants do it for her. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she wasn’t entirely convinced with what he was doing...

“Hey, Las... I don’t want to ask much of you, but...” She raised an eyebrow at her own reflection. She didn’t really get what he was doing, exactly. “Do you want to help me dye this thing again?” A hand moved towards her hair and took a part of it. “It’s starting to look blonde again.”

somewhere along the line i accidentally became very fond of this for no reason BUT. i feel like they could have a really, really sweet relationship... it might just be me, but i feel like they have a really similarly big heart. there’s a lot of love to be shared with the world between them, and a lot of love for them to give each other. which is good, i think, since i feel like... they both have a lot of love to give, but they also desperately need love and yet probably wouldn’t ask for it. 

i also thought of something (hopefully) interesting the other day while reading your reply-- that they would probably forgive each other for the things that they couldn’t forgive themselves for, if that makes any sense. like... i obviously don’t play inigo, but have a feeling that if their situations were reversed, he wouldn’t really have held it against silas, had he decided to take an elixr. i just get a feeling that they’d help each other realize that... they are fine, just as they are. they are human and deserve love and happiness, same as everyone else. 

they both give me this sort of... gentle feeling, like the warmth of sleeping in the sun or that feeling in your chest when you see someone smile in a way that is so utterly sincere. 

also in a romantic context i bet they’d just be disgustingly sweet to each other. all sorts of cheek or temple kisses and little gestures. silas is so so gentle-- with everyone, but especially so an SO. even something like brushing the hair out of someone’s eyes would be done with the lightest, gentlest touch. he’s embarrassing. i bet severa’s daily eye roll count would increase exponentially. 

Ah, Olivia’s boy. He may look like her, but the ways they go about their bashfulness are polar opposites. She shies away, he runs towards them.
