Melchizedek was the King of Salem and the Priest of Salam, and the New Testament refers to his eternal priesthood.

Many times in the Old Testament, a mysterious person appears, the angel of the Lord and others. Could Melchizedek also be Christ in the Old Testament, as the New Testament writers suggest a powerful link.

When Abraham met Melchizedek, a wonderful encounter took place which has shot down through biblical history and informed us about the priesthood of Christ.

It an amazing find, a temple with blood sacrifice from the time of Abraham was found in Jerusalem’s ancient city.

The oldest Temple in Jerusalem, Israel, was found by archaeologists digging in the city of David and they found a centre of worship dating back to the time of Abraham.

Israeli archaeologist Eli Shukron proposes that a new rock-carved temple discovered in 2010 in the City of David, Jerusalem, is Melchizedek’s Temple. Temple Zero, as it’s also called, contains a large standing stone, seated on twelve smaller stones, inside an elaborate series of chambers. Shukron further suggests that this site was where Abraham offered his tithe to Melchizedek.
