        “I was afraid to tell you.” Afraid Mei might think for even the briefest of moments the child inside Asa would be loved more than Mei. A thing which terrified Asa since she never wanted to hurt her feelings, or have Mei believe it for a moment.         Both would be loved equally, no matter if one came from her body while the other adopted. Mei were as much her child as her biological.  

Hatori was one his way back to his office after doing his usual checkup of Akito. He hadn’t expected to see anyone as he made his way down the halls. He’d stopped when he noticed the other. Bending down to get a better look at her. “Are you alright, Mei? What are you doing here by yourself?”

“Mistakes happen all the time, so don’t worry about it. I’m sure we can fix it! So cheer up!” 

“Somebody ought to teach you to stick up for yourself. People aren’t always nice; you’ve gotta learn to slap the bowl out of their hands before they dump the soup, y’know?”

“Blaaack Sesameeee!” Kimi sang out, swinging her arms alongside the other bouncy girl. “You can try some when we get there, they are a special of their baker!” If Kimi was honest with herself, there was a chance they would not be available today - they were something Kimi couldn’t ignore; rare. But, always the optimist, she barely registered the thought, rather letting is dissipate at the edges of hr subconscious mind. She liked the speed with which they were moving, and the weather was fine. Kimi took a turn to the right, knowing the shop would be within their sights in only a couple more blocks. 

“Hm.” Kimi considered the younger girl for a moment, deciding she quite liked the cute face she had made.  There weren’t any boys around, and the atmosphere was pretty quiet - which meant Kimi could only interest herself further with something new and fun to gain, like a friend, or a sweet!  “𝔻𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕪 𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕖𝕪, 𝕨𝕖 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕘𝕠 𝕘𝕖𝕥 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕤𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕥 𝕕𝕦𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤 𝕥𝕠𝕘𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣!”
