21. Your character has been granted three wishes. What would they wish for and why?
The first thing Megiddo would wish for is his family back, and healthy, and home. He wouldn’t care if that took all three wishes. It would be the first thing he would think of and the only thing he could think about until it was done. I can’t imagine what else an old man who has watched four generations of peers, children, grandchildren and more, die.
His second wish would involve Niqmepa, the daughter that he had by Ugarit. His wife was a wicked woman who abused their child for years and eventually murdered her. Megiddo, being a practical man, would wish to have learned the extent of his wife’s wickedness in time to kill the woman before she hurt Niqmepa.
His third wish would be about Loughree. Having Lou’s mother alive again would do a lot to repair their relationship. But at the core of it, Megiddo feels there is something deeply wrong with Loughree that he would wish to have corrected.

The trees had regrown well since the Calamity, and they shifted now in cool evening winds just as tall as they had been before. Their limbs were not quite as thick, their shadows not as dark, but aging eyes dimmed the world to make up for that. The smell on the wind and the sound of the clicking limbs was the same, the fading red of the sunset the same, the feel of the tree trunk against his back the same -- all the same -- as it had been ten years ago, twenty years ago, thirty years ago. But now the collapsed caverns had consumed the buried bones. They had been crushed into the earth. The groundwater had washed their lingering spirits into the roots. No matter the words of the Padjal or the scowls of the Wildwood, no matter the will of the Twelve, Meggido could feel in the earth that his family was gone. The Elementals had taken them home.

“It’s not about places I want to be. Oschon places me where there is something to be done or something to see. It isn’t that difficult to imagine, keeping in mind how Aether and Aetherytes work. Those who are exceptionally skilled with Aether can attune to an Aetheryte and teleport to them. Oschon is attuned to all of Eorzea, and I am attuned to Oschon. Permitting Oschon to move me is similar to deliberately moving to an Aetheryte, except that I’m deliberately moving without having any say on where I am going.”
