What started out as an . . . ‘interesting’ ... start to our 2016-2017 season, ended up a solid showing for our team.
Match 1 began with an autonomous that ended with the pushing of a failed beacon. It’s not suppose to turn green is it? Later in the match, we were able to recover until losing connection with 50 seconds to go. It was all down hill from there. Match 1, L. By the way, if a referee fails to come get a particle after an extended period, don’t throw it back on the field . . . penalty.
The good news is things got much better from there. We ended the day with a 4-1 record (QP 8, RP 171, Rank 1). We had a very solid day with autonomous and got a chance to switch things up throughout the day with different drivers and filed coaches. That should be great experience for later in the season. Matches were a bit more fun than expected as we got to whip around the field and score particles from a variety of places on the field.
All in all, a great start to the season and a great start for our now team of six. Can’t wait to brainstorm improvements for our Version 2.0 iteration. Not much time, next event December 3rd!
