Whoever walked past the room could hear footsteps walking up to the door and away again, repeatedly. It was Zion who was pacing around, trying to calm herself down. She had been at it for quite some time now, long enough for Sekin and Rhias to leave and letting her be alone with her thought.

“I won’t do anything like this anymore, I promise,” she muttered as she walked yet another circle, “but of course he had to throw himself in between.” Zion suddenly stopped, looking at a second, closed door, one that led to the beds and another surge of frustration and anger welled up inside her. By the spirits, how lovely would it be to hit something. But she refrained from doing so and sat down instead. There was nothing to do right now anyway and she didn’t have the clear head she needed to repair her arm. So that had to be done sometime later.

She sighed and stood up again. Well, that wasn’t surprising seeing how restless she was. It took her only a few steps until she reached the door she had eyed and opened it. Inside the room it still smelled of alcohol, from disinfecting the wounds of the idiot sleeping on the bed now. It was a sight she had already seen before but the promise of never seeing it again had, clearly, been broken.

Zion didn’t need to look around to find a chair since she had spent the last days in the room and grab one of them to sit down beside Meenos bed. Hitting him now wouldn’t do anything and it didn’t seem to have helped getting the message of not doing that stupid stuff into his head anyways. So she found herself stretching her metal arm out and poking him into the cheek with her tentacle turned finger. She knew he doesn’t really like it that much when she does that but he definitely deserved tentacle suction tracks on his face. And he was so out of it that he didn’t realize what she was doing so it was all good. Well, she continued until he grunted and turned towards her. That’s when she backed off for a bit but ended up pulling his blanket up with her left hand.

As she wanted to pull it back again Meeno grabbed it and she flinched only to notice that he was still asleep. With noticing that, she relaxed again. When she wanted to free her hand though Meeno didn’t let go. Instead he pulled her hand closer to his face, lips barely touching, breathing a kiss on it. At least that’s what it felt like to Zion.
