so the meds th t help with my reflux apparently have some kind of cross reaction with the adhd meds
I need both to feel better.
And i can't find what cross reaction would happen, as the checks i have access to say there's nothing. But i also trust my doctor more than the internet (obviously).
So i figured i could maybe take them alternating, but that doesn't seem like a good idea either.
*argh* why is this whole body-thing this complicated?!
At least i can control the pain in my arms now that i got the proper exercises for the trapezius muscle.
It's just. It seems a never ending list of symptoms, growing out of control. Quite literally.
I can either focus on the stomach issues or the adhd. Either the cpap or sleep (still having trouble sleeping well with the mask). Either the tinnitus or RSI in arms.
If i wanted to actually heal my body, it would be a fucking full time job.
Okay, that was exaggerating. But it would mean i have to spend a lot more time actively thinking about my posture, movement, diet, and everything. All while even doing the bare minimum seems to take a toll on me. (I still haven't done any laundry in the past three weeks. Maybe even four. 😑)
When exactly did life switch from normal to hard mode?? And why??
til that dehydration elevates your cortisol levels
Higher levels of cortisol go hand in hand with weight gain, fatigue, higher blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, sleep issues, elevated anxiety and depression rate, and much more.
So. Maybe that weight gain comes from stress which comes from being dehydrated.
So if doctors could stop blaming weight as The Cause and see it as a symptom or even consequence, maybe then we could start treating all those caretakers right, who tell their doctors about those issues and are never once told that drinking fucking water could help them.
This goes triple for patients who are read as women and who are not professional but private caretakers, like mothers.
Dear pediatricians, can we talk about this?
Parenting stress in families of children with disabilities (study from october 2023):
Results: 55% of all parents reported stress at a clinically relevant level, 65% in the child domain and 39% in the parent domain of the PSI. Parenting stress differed significantly across diagnostic categories (p < 0.01) and was associated with childhood disability related issues of behaviour, sleep or feeding issues. Parenting stress was often underestimated by the paediatricians, especially when the children had disabilities perceived as less severe. In one-third of parents with clinically relevant total stress, paediatricians reported low stress levels. Parent-reported financial problems, social isolation, and partnership conflicts were not suspected by paediatricians in ≥85% of cases.

too bad, it's apparently NOT a posture thing. Dammit i thought i had figured it out, but while i do now, it irritates me.
Stress/pressure is so toxic it makes my arms hurt.
Wow. That's a statement. Sounds very stupid, too. But apparently, it's true. Had no pain before yesterday, had to jump in yesterday to help the kid finish her christmas presents, worked all night, now my arms hurt (not from the work).
Correcting my posture didn't help.
Dammit. "Yeah, no, i cannot let you pressure me, it makes me physically sick", tell that to social security, child supervision and all the other people trying to help me (but really NOT helping me).

Them: "Okay, so we ran the blood tests and the results are good!😀" Me: "So why am I experiencing these symptoms?" Them: "We don't know. 😊 According to the blood tests you're fine. 😀" Me: "Okay, so. Did you test for heavy metals?" Them: "No? 🙃" Me: "What about poison?" Them: "What?? 🤨" Me: "What about [vitamin] and [protein] and [mineral]?" Them: "Why would we test for THAT??🧐" Me: "Because the symptoms are sometimes caused by this?" Them: "Oh don't worry, these things are VERY RARE, so there is NO CHANCE you could have any of these as the cause for your problem." Me: Them: "Cheer up, your blood results are good!"

Good News!
apparently, they finally found some biological reason or proff for brain fog - and it's probably not what you think!
It's got to do with the blood vessels in your brain leaking blood into the surroundings (where it shouldn't be).
I don't know who can help themselves how with this knowledge, but this is huge - maybe print the article for your doctor who thinks you're just making things up or so... I dunno.

Kid said she has no pain in her legs!!!!!
omg. I had given up hope for this day to come. She says she feels some pain after some things, but compared to a daily (!) 6 on a scale of 10 that's basically none.
The relief. Omg the relief. I am crying, literal tears here.
It's burnout. It's overwhelm. It's dissociation. It's autism. It IS manageable!!!!!!
