Mechanical Toy (Sculpture) - When the Sea Became a Part of the Land

Size: 24 cm x 30 cm x 17 cm Exact Medium: Light Clay, Acrylic Paint, Recycled Paper, Shinny Paper, Brown Copper Wire, Blue Beads, Cardboard.

This artwork shows my obsession to the sea because the ocean is really beautiful. The ocean can always give me a sense of tranquility and the marine life is always gorgeous and mysterious. Whenever I visit an aquarium, I can always stay therefor a whole day and simply appreciating how beautiful is under the sea. Therefore, I always include marine life like jellysh, octopus, sea turtle in my illustration. As a result, when thinking of something about Stone Age, I thought of fish-bones. I cannot imagine what will happen when the sea disappeared.

Besides, it is a reflection of water pollution too. Recently, there are many photos and information telling us that there are serious water pollution around the world. Therefore, I tried to imagine what will happen when the sea disappear, and marine lives all became to fossil, human can even walk on the water bed. Also reminding myself and people we should treasure our world, our nature and our sea.
