A DAY IN THE LIFE OFÂ
                                    Yoa Woard
                                (And Benji Hannai)
Yoa lives her life from one day to the next, always excited to find out what a new dawn holds in store for her. Planning her life ahead seems so useless as with war any day could be her last. Needless to say, a good chuck of her daily life revolves around Benji. Every morning she has the duty to wake, allthough some rare mornings heâs out of bed earlier than she is, strolling around the living room with eyes half closed and a shirt slung neglected around his shoulders. The mornings when heâs up and about before she is, are not his best mornings. Follow the following guide should that be the case.
1. Donât talk to Benji, just gently pat his shoulder while you guide him to the shower.Â
2. Assume he can shower himself, lock the door behind him and hang the sign which says:Â âCarefull dangerous animalâ on the door. You can find the sign in the drawer next to the door.Â
3. Keep your ears open for the sound of the door, as soon as he has shower, he might be awake, but heâs anything but happy. Make sure you have coffee ready, the smell of it will calm his belly.Â
4. He can put on his clothes himself, but be sure to compliment him on his clothing choices, as it will momentarially catch him off guard, giving you the time to put the mug of coffee in his hand.Â
5. Afterwards you should be good, just keep an eye on him to make sure he goes to breakfast.Â
Yoa goes around in the morning pretty quickly, she dresses like a snake on a hunt, and lacks interest in showering, especially in the morning, because her tail takes very long to dry. The little bit of attention she has on her appearance is the glance in the mirror before she and always Benji, and sometimes other Group members, go to the breakfast hall.Â
Eating goes in the same routine, first she sets Benji down in a table furthest away from the noise and any unfriendly crowd, then she sets out to get them both breakfast. A task she does within minutes, fearing of leaving her friend alone for too long, especially since those prying animals like to attack when she is not looking.Â
She and Benji eat their breakfast mostly in silence, only opening their mouth for food or to compliment the food. Just about the time when they are done with breakfast, the coffee will have started its effects on the Ground Magician, and Yoa can finally engage in normal conversation, telling her friend about her dreams.Â
Now, on normal days, the pair always arrives at training right after breakfast, they do some warm up, practice sword fighting and other weaponary, and fill in any paper work that is left to do, while sitting on the floor of the gym and watching other Mancers train. When Lunch comes around, Benjiâs coffee has become a distant memory, and the Halfling is once again upset and distant.Â
If you find yourself in such a situation, here are some doâs and donâts.Â
- Run to the kitchen really quick and get him some more coffee
- Engage in a conversation about how amazing you find HagaFosiel and its architecture.Â
- Continue training for just a bit longer until heâs too tired to be upset.Â
- Bring him outside first for some fresh air.
- Drag him along to lunch right away, heâs like a ticking time bomb
- Donât leave him alone for more than five minutes
- Donât tell him everything that you think might be encouraging. Itâs better to refrain from talking completely unless itâs a silly conversation.Â
Lunch goes almost the same as breakfast, only on some days, Benji goes along to pick out what he wants that day. Yoa then of course lets him, and spends way longer on picking her food together, knowing she has her best friend by her side.Â
After lunch they go back to training, this time their focus point is Magic. Their muscles are relaxed, their bellyâs full, what better than to throw around some bricks or fire than after lunch. Training goes on for some hours, neither of them seem to get any better, but itâs all about keeping in shape any way, trying to put more strength behind their punches.Â
Between lunch and dinner there is about an hour still to kill, aside from showering, Yoa likes to hang around in the library or go for a good coffee in the city. Sometimes that coffee turns into a fancy dinner with Benji, sometimes it turns into a barfight. Either way they always get food.Â
After dinner is sheer amounts of relaxation time. Except of course if there are mission in waiting, then itâs listening to Lenaâs plans first, then going into detail of the plan, and some time later they are finally dismissed.Â
A whole day has almost passed, meaning Benji is tired, and most likely less of great company than he was before. Itâs best to take some time apart from him, but do make a time and rally point for later. If he doesnât show up, look at the bars first, and then go to the hospital post. He probably got into a fight and needs your help. Or at least your support.Â
Yoa either visits the Library again, spitting through books about one subject or an other to which she has become interested, or goes to bars as well looking for some known Mancers to talk with and hear stories.Â
Sheâs always very on time at the rally point, and knowing Benji mostly is too, she can sense when heâs in trouble. If he did get in trouble, the evening can get kind of long, depending on which bar he got to and if he won or lost the fight. As soon as she finds him, itâs back to their room very quickly. Maybe some hot choco in the living room of their groupâs appartement, but that mostly depends on Benjiâs state. She then puts the big bear to bed, and holds up in the living room, reading a book or making conversation, until she too becomes tired.Â
Sleeping next to Benji is kind of relaxing, he makes hardly a sound, and from the way his body is curled up, he looks as if he could never hurt a fly. Staring at him calms her down until she gently dozes off to sleep, awaiting the next day.Â
