Tiktok is the only place where you kind find videos captioning; how it feels to like a character that everyone hates, but you kind of see yourselves into.
You go into the comments and you rarely find characters that people hate but universally love.
The characters that people do hate that are mentioned are being bashed to the ground as people tell them to find a new character to relate to.
Only at tiktok would one have this problem.
I remember arguing on animo with someone back at 2010 stating that character being mean is not only an unlikable trait but it's irredeemable. It was about the stupidest things but man I loved it as much as I hated that.

I just learned that writing asshole characters who love their significant other is my new favorite thing.
Who cares if they are kind and respectful to others.
I want to see them be chaotic and mean to everyone but the person they love.
The golden rule for having a likable character is that you don’t need your hero to be likable as long as he’s interesting…but this guy isn’t interesting. He’s just a selfish prick.
