It's been so long since I sat down and drew something seriously. I felt very good while drawing this character——it brought me back to the time where I have enough free time and energy doing all sorts of creations.

I think this is the second time that I drew him…? Yeah, I drew Wu Sheng with pencil and paper before, guess I really like him to the point that I couldn't resist drawing him again XD

I made the music with the impression of Anibus being a child of Geno and Reaper. I mean, his dads all involved around the concept of DEATH, and Anibus, his own name makes me think about a deity from ancient Egypt. Yes, the god of death from ancient Egypt, Anubis.

The faint sound of the organ echoing in the empty church. A person dressed in a priest attire standing alone with his back facing the gateway.

"Father Cross," a muffling male's voice calls out behind the heavy door, "the preparation is ready."

"Send them in." The priest demands without casting a glance to the gate. He can feel it, the familiar sensation of freezing winter wrapping up his torso. Chilling palms gently pressing up against his shoulder blades. A shadowy figure slowly forming itself, glowing with eerie yellowish light. "You're melting." Cross says as he catches a glimpse of silhouettes seemingly like tentacles making a little swish, low humming noises mixing with the fading music. "No need to be irritated, soon the problem will be fixed." Turning around upon hearing the sound of the opening door, the priest similes to the incoming visitors.

Three younglings, that Cross assume their age probably in mid twentieth, entering the sacred place. "Children," the priest begins with an authoritative tone, "The Lord has answered your prayers, making your most desired dream come true…"

From the stained glass windows, soft glow casting on the priest, who is clutching a piece of golden, rusty accessory in hand. Others may view it as a head piece, yet only Cross knows what it truly is. It's a tie, a deal, a symbolization of an undying devotion.

"Now, it's time for you to return The Lord's service."

This is my little thought about an au where Cross is a cult leader (priest) and Shattered Dream is the god who the cult is believing in.

In this au Shattered Dream doesn't have a physical body, but more like an entity. He requests Cross for human sacrificial offerings in order to gain his power. In return, Shattered Dream will stay with Cross for all eternity, and sometimes accept commands from the priest. The cult is kinda thriving because it does grant the worshipers' dream. But when one's dream is completed, they'll become the sacrifice to Shattered Dream.

So yes, it is definitely not a twisting romance story (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)
