Taylor has been a member of the #MDFR family for 24 years. As the current EMS Division Chief, he’s responsible for managing all medical operations for MDFR, which includes medical operations protocols and procedures, training and all medical equipment used to provide emergency medical services for all residents and visitors in Miami-Dade County. Additionally, Chief Taylor played a prominent role in establishing a state-of-the-art stroke network. Miami-Dade County residents suffering from acute strokes are receiving exceptional stroke care and experiencing outstanding outcomes due to the standards set by the stroke network. This significantly improves MDFR's cardiac arrest resuscitation success rates. "I believe it is important to serve my community because they need to see role models who are making positive contributions back to those same communities. I remember watching firefighters respond to a shooting and working to save a classmate of mine during high school. The incident left a lasting impression as there were people who look like me, who were working for the fire department and doing positive things.
