Kenny had picked up some work in a garage while Saf was off recording. It wasn’t so he could have money, but so he could have something to do while the redhead was off recording. Thankfully, since he didn’t have to do this to put food on the table, he was able to make his own hours.

Today, however, he had a head gasket that had taken him a little longer than expected and he was running behind. Entering their bedroom as he stripped off his overalls, he spotted Saf wearing one of his shirts. Smiling at his husband, he said, “I didn’t think I was gone long enough for you to miss me.”

Things had been so hectic with recording lately that Saf wasn’t sure he knew the difference between day and night, let alone his clothes and Kenny’s. What he did know was this shirt looked clean when he picked it up off the floor too early this morning and it had a comforting scent that he refused to admit was his husband’s. But the end of the day, he liked the way the worn fabric fit, even if Kenny seemed to keep infiltrating his thoughts whenever the music stopped.
