When thinking of Joe and Maise I realised that yes, Dela is their song. Once again the art by the lovely @mypillowpaper, Go check them out!! Both dividers are by @anitalenia, they are so pretty!!

I just realised that these two self inserts use magic but very differently.

Merope is more deeply based upon old witches, folklore and fairy tales. She uses magic mirrors to travel and spy, makes potions from mythical and mundane properties. Merope comes from a legacy of magic; hags, vampires, faeries. There are nature themes to her magic, at least to a certain extent.

Maise is more linked into the way witches are viewed now, her magic is based more on urban spaces and tech. She can take the hearts blood of a city and use it to her will, her subconsciousness speeding along powerlines and spreading along the web.

Magic and science are as combined in her like her identity as a witch and a mutant are. Electrify loops around her fingers as she shuffles the tarot cards. Her dolls imbedded with the same kind of artificially intelligent system as J.A.R.V.I.S. and are constantly recording and reporting back to her as she watches it all on her glasses' screen.

Maise Constantine

The biological daughter of John Constantine and adopted daughter of Tony Stark, Maise is a mutant who studied at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Like John, she is able to see demons and angels as well as use magic.

She is particularly fond of urban magic. Partial to purple, Maise will always wear the colour as well as a pair of glasses that Tony made her that can take and upload photos and videos.
