personally, I don’t know how you couldn’t find Deadpool and Wolverine’s relationship (MCU specifically) even a LITTLE bit compelling.
They’ve got a crappy relationship in the comics for a number of reasons (usually having to do with Logan’s morals and DP being, well, a mercenary), but the DP films make an effort to show a developing DP who is trying to change his life for the better and stop using violence to push people away.
MCU Logan, on the other hand, still sees himself as a killer and a monster despite wanting to change. DP has a family and a job and people who love him despite his past, and Logan has nobody.
They are quite literally two sides of the same coin, and they’re relationship is so compelling BECAUSE while Logan has given up on himself DP hasn’t (given up on himself OR Logan for that matter).
They work so well as friends because they’re both indestructible and have at one time or another been seen as a monster, but by the end of the film we see them both truly come to the realization that because they’ve shared this experience, they improve each other.
