They'd been in the Leaky Cauldron for a few hours now, both James and Hunter being almost blind drunk. They'd both wanted to go out for a night and had decided getting drunk sounded pretty good.
With the war and what not, James took opportunities like this whenever he could. Spending time with friends and loved ones was important, no matter what.
"Ye' got some-" Hunter motioned to some firewhiskey which had dribbled down onto James' chin.
Wiping it away with the back of his hand, James chuckled drunkedly. "Thanks mate." Slowly moving his head up so he wouldn't get dizzy, James noticed that Hunter had some firewhiskey on his cheek right next to his lips.
"Not th' only one." James laughed again, pointing sloppily to Hunter's cheek. Watching as McLaggen failed to wipe it away, a very drunk and stupid idea came to James' head, not that it seemed stupid at the time.
"Hold on." James leaned forward in his chair, licking the alcohol from the side of his lips with a smirk. Hunter's eyes had widened slightly but he didn't move an inch. Instead, a hand reached up and cupped James's face, moving his head to the side so their lips met.
After a few very long moments of drunken snogging, the two pulled away from each other.
"Ahh..." James stared at the Slytherin in front of him. "No speaking of this, ever."
"'greed." Hunter nodded, wiping his mouth with his hand before turning back to the bar and ordering the next round of drinks for the two of them.
