There were a variety of patients that Draco saw on a daily basis. He did different shifts in different parts of St. Mungo’s and he enjoyed them all. However, he particularly enjoyed seeing and treating the patients that came in on a whim. He never knew what he was going to walk into and it kept his day interesting. However, it could also lead to situations like the one he’d dealt with Hermione Granger. Or the awkward run-in with Gabrielle after their incident on the train. Still, it didn’t deter him from seeing patients who needed his help. 

Draco grabbed the latest chart and walked into the exam room, resisting the urge to curse under his breath when he saw Michael. They had an old quiddtich rivalry. Then with Draco’s dealings during the war, he didn’t imagine Michael had the best opinion of him. 

“How can I help you today?” Draco asked, as politely as possible. 

When it came to babies, Katie felt completely out of her element. She had absolutely no idea what she was getting herself into. They’d had the conversation about becoming parents and they were in agreement, but Katie hadn’t thought it would happen so quickly. The healer had requested that she stop playing and training for Quidditch and Katie was growing more restless as the morning sickness began to go away. After rearranging their apartment for the third time that morning, Katie decided to go shopping. Oliver had bought a lot, but he’d mostly stuck to quiddtich supplies for their kid who wouldn’t likely be able to start training for at least a couple of years. They needed other things too. 

Katie was walking around the store aimlessly, when she ran into Michael with a similar expression on his face. One of confusion and question. “You lost, too?” Katie asked with a small laugh. “Why are there so many options for diapers? For bottles? Does a baby really need all of this?” 

Harriet was mildly irritated by the situation aboard the train. First of all, she hadn’t truly wanted to go, but she agreed, knowing that she couldn’t remain in hiding for the rest of her pregnancy. Durmstrang was much different than Hogwarts. The train planned on serving three meals. That wasn’t nearly enough. Ever since the morning sickness had passed, eating had become somewhat of a hobby. She supposed that two babies needed a bit more than one. There was a tension within the compartment that Harriet couldn’t quite put her finger upon. She didn’t recognize the couple that they’d been paired with. If Charlie did, he hadn’t said anything quite yet. After a few moments of silence, Harriet excused herself to find the trolley to grab a couple treats. 

On her way back into the compartment, her hands were full and she ran right into the man that they were sharing the compartment with. “I’m so sorry,” Harriet murmured softly, her blue eyes flickering upwards to meet Michael’s. “I was distracted by the chocolate frogs.” The brunette shifted most of her haul into one arm and held her other out towards him. “Harriet.” 

The first thought that Katie had when she woke up was: Oliver. Where was Oliver? Second - where the fuck was she? Her head was splitting. No, her whole body hurt. Like she’d been put through the ringer. There was only one time in her life that she could recall feeling like this and that wasn’t something she wanted to relive. It took her some time before she realized that she wasn’t alone. How much time - she couldn’t be sure. Michael. Padma. Mr. Weasley. Why were they here? What was going to happen? Katie felt a wave of panic take over her body and it increased tenfold when they were joined by two hooded figures. The brunette opened her mouth to argue, but it was quickly replaced with a scream when the cruciatus curse was centered upon her and Michael at her side. The pain unbearable, Katie could only take it for a moment or so before she passed out again. 

When she woke up, she was in a different room and this time, Michael was her only company. At least, that was what she could tell from the one eye she could open. Katie’s body felt like a mesh between lead and jello. “Michael?” She whimpered.
