I've never been a Lysander girl myself, but damn do I feel the most sympathy towards him than the other guys. Not saying any of the others deserved shit to go wrong for them, but Lysander probably deserved it the least. The dude was a total angel. 1) He was always the most supportive of you - remember how he was the first guy to believe you during the Deborah situation and help you? 2) He was never a dick to you in his storyline unlike the others (he lost his memory and it couldn't really be helped) 3) I can't recall a time where he was unprovokingly a douche to you or got into trouble for anything. He was always empathetic, respectful and understanding of you. Like I said before, none of the guys deserved it. But imagine giving the one guy who has a clean slate more or less the most heartbreaking ending. All to be edgy with this "realism" bullshit. Imagine having your elderly parents both die and having to take over their farm away from all of your friends and no hope for your own dreams. Imagine Lysander realizing how successful Castiel has become without him. Remembering that all your aspirations and goals you made with your best friend were swept away due to shitty life circumstances beyond your control and now you are stuck (by obligation) to look after your parents farm whilst he gets everything he ever wanted and you're left behind. Lysander would obviously be happy for Castiel, but no doubt it would open up a wound. I'm also kind of annoyed that Leigh let this happen though? Like we don't know the full story, but isn't Leigh rich as fuck now and can easily pay for workers to take over the farm? Also gotta love how Leigh can go off and visit other relatives whilst Lysander can't because he's stuck on a fucking farm. - Castiel gets to become a rising rock star on his way to massive worldwide fame and popularity and is loved by many. Nathaniel (despite his questionable lifestyle) gets to live freely without the restraints made by his father and had a sister who turned out to become quite a lovely woman which he probably still keeps in contact with. He's happy more or less. Armin became a hacker. Okay granted, it's not an ideal career and he can get arrested again, but at least it was his decision to make and he had a choice. Not to mention that its still something he seemingly enjoys doing. Kentin became a dog trainer - okay, not gonna lie I totally didn't see that coming. But it's a nice job and he is most likely happy and is no longer doing military training, so yay. Lysander loses both of his parents and is forced to move far away and take up farming, giving up his dreams of writing songs,ect and not being able to see his best friend, brother and other friends anymore. He also (if you date him) breaks up with his first girlfriend and is practically alone. Castiel better fucking keep in contact with him. I fucking swear. - (Also in case anyone is curious I started off as a Kentin/Armin fan and have moved onto Nathaniel)
