returning to the school came with a new kind of emptiness clinging to your soul. something you knew-- just like with everything else that happened in your life, you would cover. the mask would fall perfectly into place, and nobody would EVER suspect a thing. they never did. you carefully crafted each mask, stitching so perfectly that nobody could ever see the seams. but in that moment, walking the long and empty halls, you didn’t have the energy to hide it. rounding the corner to your office, a wave of emotion HITS-- a surprise at seeing her leaning against the door, waiting. lips are forced upwards in a smile and you are acutely aware of the new wand in your hand.
“well. i did it, min. i won. don’t know why on earth anyone was worried.”
