I’m doing an (almost) daily series where I go through my google photos from this time last year and see what was happening in dsmp/mcyt history on that day a year ago, and this is what I found for today!

Closing thoughts on MCC8
I finally wached all the VODs I wanted (I didn’t have the patience for Purple Pandas though, maybe later ;-;), so let me ramble a little about some of the teams.
Pink Parrots
This team turned out to be fantastic. I was really glad that they could work well together and it wasn’t just Dream and Techno taking all the spotlight. I missed Techo’s sassy commentary so much, and my god, Dream, what was that parkour right at the beginning?! They were all focused but not too competitive, they coordinated well and they kept a very optimistic attitude even when they have fallen behind near the end. I ended up looking only at their stream during the event as I didn’t want to miss even a second of it. Incredible skills, top-tier jokes, King Burren is king for a reason, ∞/10.
Green Guardians
George, Sapnap and Eret on one team was something I was really looking forward to, and I had Eret’s stream open the whole time just in case I want to switch to them. They took the event very seriously and yet still managed to have fun and keep the mood positive, and I’m impressed how well Eret did despite his hard drive was literally dying during the whole event (and reinstalling the game and managing to get back? Legend). They did good but they were a tad bit too serious for my liking, 8/10.
Red Rabbits
I was expecting a lot of chaos from a team that has Tommy in it haha v funny and boy oh boy, they did not disappoint. Their interactions were golden with so many quotable moments, goofiness was in perfect balance with competitiveness. They got really unlucky with some of the glitches and at Sands of Time, but they did very well overall. Favourite moments include: Wilbur raging during Parkour Warrior and Tommy leading the team during Skyblockle. RIP vlog gun. 11/10.
