Seeing as Moira now has four sons — two of whom she wasn’t quite prepared for, lol — I wanted to make something that acknowledged their shared brotherhood and also reinforced how she views them all now.

Matty’s had some extremely meme-worthy reaction faces during his time on the show, so I just wanted to celebrate a few of my favourites.

I’m always thinking about “what ifs” in terms of my own life, so I thought that now that Matty is finally getting a chance to live as his truest and most authentic self, he might look back at old family photos and wonder what it might have been like to grow up with Holly and Adam and John all acknowledging him as the young growing man he always knew he was and how that might have impacted him through the years.

One of my favourite things about Matty and Isaac’s relationship — besides how they sometimes wear the same judgy expressions when faced with Debbie, which let’s face it, is relatable — is the fact that Isaac will always know Matty as his older brother. He’ll never have to adjust to Matty having lived his life as someone else. He’ll always know him as the funny, charming, and dorky man who’s (hopefully) been around him his entire life.
