Katrina threw back the covers and closed her laptop, silencing a classic Lorelai Gilmore rant and startling Rey. She stumbled out of bed and tugged on a pair of loose cotton pajama pants over her underwear as she went to answer the door. Her t-shirt was several sizes too big and probably would have covered her just fine, but better safe than flashing the neighbors. She threw open the door, mildly out of breath, and instead of saying hello or any other sort of normal greeting, she answered Melanie’s question from the last text. “I was lying in bed and watching netflix. That’s what I was doing. What’re you doing? Skylar lives next door.”
