Snowy visit
It was cold and I was at home alone. It had been snowing on and off for several days and the leftovers were a thick blanket of snow on everything outside. My place is small and well-insulated, even with the floor-to-ceiling front windows that take up the entire front wall. The neighbors were also nice, friendly folk. But I can't stay. I have to go meet mother at the house to pick something up from the garage. So I uncover the old Mazda B2000 from the snow and head on out. My neighbor tags along for the fun of it. Mother is waiting in the garage and opens it as I back into the driveway. We get out and are severely put off by the overpowering scent of cat-piss coming from the stuffed, hoard-like garage. My neighbor and I start to move boxes into the back of the small truck. I'm trying to organize them so they fit best, but mother is just throwing things randomly into the back. I think the neighbor overhead me as I said, under my breath, that maybe it would have been better if I had brought my bigger truck (My Bronco).
Something has gone wrong and I'm in a doctor's office. They are taking a look at my right foot, or my right ankle. It isn't hurting me at all but everyone seems extremely concerned. I pause to listen to them and find they are also not finding anything wrong in their tests and x-rays, but nonetheless there is something very obvious wrong that they are concerned about. At the end they have me stand and they bounce me - as if I were a basketball - and then all get really concerned again, even though I don't feel or see anything wrong. They end up releasing me and giving me a prescription for some medication.
I am back at mother's place and am ready to head back home. I find an old lady has snuck up and had grabbed ahold of my prescriptions and started to walk away with them. They are in boxes like donuts. I drive back home. I am unpacking boxes and wondering about the snow. It hasn't stopped yet. I wonder if I will be able to drive in it the next time I have to go out. I'm not sure the hardy little pickup truck is capable of it. I notice a few boxes have candies in them, like they are Easter chocolates. Then I am out on the road again, driving towards a main expressway. I am passing slow cars and trying to make good time, despite the bad weather.
Raised her up 2 inches and went and played in the snow 😜
