what do they look for in a potential significant other:  first off, joseph hates games, he’s looking for somebody that doesn’t play around in the sense of not really saying what they mean or hiding things or playing some bullshit jealousy games.  he’s been there before and now he’s too old for that shit and he knows what he wants.  this also plays into the fact that while crushes are all well and good, at this point in his life he’s looking to, well ‘settle down’ in the sense that he just wants a comfy relationship, he doesn’t want to do the back and forth part for ages.

do they care what others think of them: in the large picture sense, no, he doesn’t, he’s staying in his own lane so he doesn’t really worry about what’s happening in adjacent lanes.  but in the small picture sense, on the day to day level, he is conscious of his appearance and what people will think of it and how they react to it.  he crosses the street while walking at night if he comes upon someone else, he makes sure not to stare at people (especially women), tries to offer kids friendly smiles, and tries to make sure his resting face is something as unoffensive as possible.

how do you deal with stress: walking.  he took to walking as a way to help with some chronic pain issues, but after awhile, found himself walking just to walk.  he swears he’s seen every bit of maywood at this point.  while at this point he leads a fairly stress free life, if something does vex him, he usually walks around at night and lets his brain find a way to fix the problem, or helps him let it go

how do you deal with stress: Liv deals with stress by burying herself in work and projects -- it gives her distance via distraction. She also tends to restrict her food during periods of high stress. This is a negative reaction that stems from Liv feeling like when things are out of control that it is somehow her fault and that she can do something “right” by being extra cautious with food.

What is your character’s favorite weather? Liv likes chilly weather. She enjoys spending time on her balcony, but isn’t going to do that in the dead of summer or in the thick of winter.

What is your character’s least favorite season? Winter. She dislikes waking up and having to go outside to defrost her windshield and car locks. Waking up is already awful, combined with really cold weather when your warm house is right there, it’s a no for her.

Eugene is about 8 months old, and his sisters are on either side of them. They’re all drenched in water from running through the sprinkler and cheesing. 

Does your character keep any pets? She has a tabby cat that her brother kind of dumped on her. He was told he couldn’t have a pet in her old apartment, so he left the cat with her. 

What is your character’s fondest childhood memory? They had a tire swing out in the backyard. She would wake up early some mornings and just lean back and let her arms and legs dangle while the wind lightly twirled her around.

Olivia will also wake up every couple of hours. On the weekends, she usually sleeps in late to make up for the gaps.

do they care what others think of them:  To an extent.  He was raised in a tight knit community where gossip was practically a ranked sport, so he did grow up knowing any out of line actions would be talked about, and would eventually get back to his parents or other important people.  So while he’s sure to not do anything too crazy in fears of that happening, he doesn’t stop it from doing the things he truly wants to do or believes in.

how do they deal with stress: When stressed, he does like to go out an party and hang out, although not to excess.  He just likes to get his mind off things with a couple beers and fun with friends, overall fairly well adjusted in that aspect.

are they spontaneous or do they always need a plan:  Matty is the epitome of spontaneous (something he considers a good thing in the kitchen), and unless he has a shift at Lucky’s to get to or a former obligation (’because a man always keeps his promises’ his father taught him), he is willing to do anything a person might suggest.  Want to take a weekend long road trip down the coast despite having no idea where they’re going to stop to sleep or anything else?  Sure.  Those are the types of things he loves to agree to or come up with.

Your character comes face-to-face with their worst enemy. What is their first reaction?  His parents always instilled the ‘turn the other cheek’ way into their children.  Matty also just doesn’t want to deal with the bad vibes, so would just ignore them.

What is your character’s favorite weather? HOT HOT HOT, and not just because that means he has an actual reason to take his shirt off.

What is your character’s favorite season?  Summer, because he loves the heat and the long days and simmering nights.

What is your character’s least favorite season?  Snow is gross and despite being a Maine native he hates it and will never grow accustomed to it.

Does your character keep any pets?  God he wishes.  Matty is such a dog person it hurts, but even if he could keep a dog right now, he knows with his hours and where he lives it’d just be downright cruel.

What is your character’s fondest childhood memory?  It’s just a really inconspicuous summer day where just everything seemed to go right.  He had a great day hanging out and playing with friends, a fun family dinner and then spent the night ‘camping’ with some of the neighborhood in everyone’s backyards.
