Happy Beltane and May Day! Happy Walpurgisnacht! May Day and many of the other spring time festivals involve dancing around a May Pole. The pillar is circled by dancers and wrapped in ribbons. That is what my artwork here depicts. You’ll notice the wicker man vibe I gave this piece with each of the dancers wearing an odious looking festival mask. It gives it a sort of pagan feel as these rituals pre-dated Christianity.
