Dear future me,
Dear future me,
When you’re reading this, it should be about 20 years since I wrote this. If not, I either got to impatient, lost this letter until after the date, or just wrote the date on the envelope wrong.
I know I’ve got a lot of plans for the future, some of which I don’t wanna rush TOO fast into. Can’t help but wonder what I’ve accomplished by the time I’m gonna read this again. Am I mayor? Did Koopie Koo and I have a lovely wedding? What are our kids like? I bet they’re lovely. I bet I love them to bits. How many do we have? 1? 2? 3? Yeah...any more than 3 is WAY overdoing it, I’d think. Maybe I change my mind then, but I’m fairly certain I won’t.
Anyway, while I’m reading this, I hope I think back to where I am now and how far I’ve gone since then. Heck, it’s amazing how far I’ve ALREADY gotten in my life. I mean, golly, I still can’t I actually helped SAVE THE WORLD. Will I have come to grips with something that huge by the time I read this again?
Anyway, if you’re still mayor...and you’re a dad...you’re probably busy, future me. I hope I have a bright future ahead of me.
Signed,Past you
