🦜 Which artists inspire you?
AHHHH THERE’S SO MANY… for more classic artists: toulouse-lautrec for the textures and shapes in his work, and fragonard for being so good at conveying motion (even when people are sitting still!) + background work in general, and klimt for being klimt. 👈 self-explanatory. might be basic but idc he’s famous for a reason!!!!
for a more modern artist: i’m catching back up to the blue period manga again and i’ve remembered how much i loved tsubasa yamaguchi’s paneling. their love for the craft both in the art and in the writing is really apparent
💫 Who/what is your favourite thing to draw?
already answered this one but here’s an addendum: as much as i complain about drawing comics + my output for them is usually Not Good, i genuinely am so happy whenever i Do finish one and it turns out how i want it to!!!
💥 What do you avoid drawing at all costs?
drawing shoes is so weirdly annoyingggg… ALSO I DON’T REALLY AVOID THIS ONE but i forget how Bad i am at drawing animals until i have to draw one and then i am in a dire situation. (i’ll still draw pelleashorse for the scuffle tho. #trust)
