Looking from the outside back then, and even now, I could never truly understand, why these solemn banquets, grand balls, and expensive dress codes are even necessary, when school stages end. The main thing is what you have actually learned and who you have become inside, not the outward showing off. There can be celebrations and pure joy, but you don't have to temporarily become poor just to show off in front of others. A person's true worth cannot be measured in money; there is simply no amount of money in the world, that can ever pay for it. It is complex. Thinking and living outside the box is where real life begins. Being yourself is so much cooler, even if people around you don't understand you at the time — at least you remain genuine and true to your own soul.
