Right after Kaira I created Xio; the idea was to give him a companion/bodyguard/friend so he also existed long before Macoatl although at first he practically seemed like a poorly made Dragon Ball character.

Maycoatl 14 - CHECOMAL
For someone who was originally just a supporting character for Xio, Checomal now seems to be the protagonist of Macoatl (at least when we're not in story mode). That's a great achievement for him, although perhaps not the one he wanted. Get our comic book now on Amazon!

Like many other characters, the Stone Lady predates Macoatl in concept (that of a statue that suddenly comes to life), but in her previous incarnation, she was a fountain of Princess Peach with a long stone braid that used a jar as a boxing glove.

Maycoatl 21 - XIUCOATL
Xiucoatl is Huitzilopochtli's left hand (because he is a lefty). She battles the forces of evil in his name and spreads his knowledge. She is also Dek's superior while he keeps working on his Tlanexus.

Dek Ingesu is Kaira´s Dad and the last tlatoani of Coatlan. With the city no more, he now dedicates his life to deconstruction while trying to create his own Tlanexus.
