On this blog you will find me recording all the books I read throughout the current year (2026) as well as the occasional writing or ranting <3

This blog is mostly for all the joys I've found whilst reading; a mixture of undiagnosed adhd, autism and stigma put me off reading in my tweens and teens. I finally began reading again in 2023!!

I am not a particularly fast reader, and I still get book slumps from time to time, but I'm trying my very best, and that's what really counts...

Meet May

I am a cisgender, bisexual woman in her early 20s and my pronouns are she/her. I live in the UK, but am originally from Ireland and work as a kitchen assistant at a village primary school, as well as a volunteer at my local library, out of term time.

At times this blog will be nsfw or have themes that are hard hitting. I am a grown woman, and therefore read such themes. It would be great to find some mutuals and feel free to tag me in any games/questions, or send across an ask

Any book covers/illustrations or writing done by that slop machine will instantly be added to a Banished List. As well as anyone I see using ai being blocked and shamed, for mutuals, (and anyone else who comes across this blog) to know to avoid such works and blogs.

And one quick public service announcement;

Em dashes (-) were first used in the 1580s, way before ai stole such punctuation and turned it into a witch hunt of accusating any author who has used them in recent years.
