Since I got here I have tried to hide my true nature,  I was scared of feeding, I was kink shamed for having a certain kink and I tried really hard to suit others needs and now I’m not happy, so if that’s what caring does then I want to stop caring.  When I was under the spell. I didn’t care about anything, I had no shame or embarrassment and I literally didn’t care. It felt great, but it wasnt me.” He let out a long breath. “ Caring makes you weak, it makes you vulnerable and shows your flaws which people can use against you, It's better to not get close or care about anyone,” Max said and then gave her a lopsided smile. “ Maybe I should just find a claim then I will have someone to care about me all the time.” He joked. “Feelings suck. Is there a way we could have them removed?”

Max had just finished his classes for the day and couldnt get his mind off what had happened at the waterfall. He paced his office and bit his bottom lip. He stared at his phone for a moment then text May

Text: Hey it's Max. How you feeling? You wanna come over tonight? maybe we could have some good old New York food and chill in my pool house.

Max was walking past when he heard them. Leering and being impolite about May’s body. He turned the corner and saw four older male students pinning her to a wall. “ I wouldn't do that if I were you,” Max said calmly. “Why? What are you going to do about it, grandpa?” One responded and Max glared. Quick as a flash he moved over to the man and punched him in the face,  kicked him in the nuts and smacked his face into Max’s knee, the man fell to the ground as the others watched. 

Max turned and broke both wrists of the one who was holding May up, then headbutted one that came towards him knocking him out cold. The last one, he grabbed by the throat and pinned him to a wall. “I’m not going to hurt you. You are the one who will go back and tell your little cronies, no one fucks with this professor and gets away with it. Next time any of you treat a lady like this  you will be going home in a box, now get out of my sight.”  He said and threw him across the street. 

Max turned to May and gave her a soft smile. “  You ok there sweetheart?” He asked and scooped her up into his arms. “ How about you and me go get some ice cream and forget this ever happened. I hate impolite guys. What happened to manner’s huh?” He said with a small laugh and walked away from the scene of the carnage with May curled in his arms. “ Don’t look back May just look at me.” He said and crossed the road to his Aston Martin. “Let’s pretend it never happened.”

Max smiled at her and let her in the car and then sped off to the ice cream parlour. He parked up and looked at her. “ Did they hurt you?” He asked softly and stroked her hair. “ Would you like me to compel you to forget it?” He asked. with a small worried frown. “Or shall we see if the ice cream can help you?” He asked and climbed out the car and then took her hand and walked into the parlour as if they were on a date. He sat down and looked around. “ I am totally having a coke float. They are my true weakness.” He chuckled to himself.

Max looked up at her and couldn’t speak. He had allowed himself to have a feeding frenzy in the forest and now he was sitting in a bath covered in blood. “ I don’t know what happened.” He eventually croaked out.
