What I find super fascinating about your au is it puts Freemind in a situation where he’s regularly interacting with the others. (I’ve been in the HL fandom since the beginning so FM used to be all there was lol) Watching FM definitely feels like a solitary experience, much like the first game did, and so far with HL2 Freemind hasn’t reacted well to Alyx and other NPCs. I love seeing him in situations where people aren’t taking his shit. So well done on that! 😆
YEAH its so ;; very isolating in the HL games sometimes- we already kinda know what they (freeman and freemind) can do alone, so why not group them both together with a guy (feetman) whos done the run in a group prior
i think if feetman ever did a solo run it might as well just be freemind but in 2020- and basically the hl2vr test streams wayne did before-
kind of curious to see if freemind in canon ever gets better in hl2 with his interactions with alyx... would be cool to see him get used to (or not) other npcs. i hope he becomes nicer to her ;_; positive character development please???

Okay, so in Revelations we hear Monty say that Edward sleeps with a teddy bear, right? I have a different headcanon for that. Instead of a bear, it’s actually a bunny. It’s one of the few things he has remaining from his childhood, before his parents and sister passed and he was sent to an orphanage. He held onto it during his adolescence and through to adulthood, though understandably there were many times that he had to keep it hidden away. But sometimes the nights are simply too lonely, and he has no choice but to turn to his oldest friend to hold onto while he sleeps.
♒ - cooking/food headcanon
Edward can cook some pretty damn good food. However, I have a headcanon that he is absolutely miserable at baking. Not for lack of trying though, and after a couple attempts he usually gets it right. But keeping him confined to the stovetop would probably be a better choice.
