His foot was pressed firmly against the broken ribcage of a man who’s small crew decided to give Byakuya a hard time. True to form, nothing they said was taken personally, but there was no reason to pass up a fun opportunity. Since there were a few of them, Byakuya suffered more than a few bumps and bruises, but he still stood as if he was fine. Whether or not it was feigned was hard to tell, certainly the men lying on the ground couldn’t tell, they were too busy trying to take a few breaths.

He was a second away from finishing off the man under his foot when he spotted someone approaching.

“Oh hey. Could you give me a sec? I’m a little busy right now, but this won’t take long..”

Today would be a day Samejima would dedicate to a task of the utmost importance for a man like him: partake in an action movie marathon! Being a parody of shounen and manliness tropes in general, it’s necessary he’s always aware of the most recent trends at that kind of media so that his whole comedy routine can stay fresh and funny even as the years go. Back home, he’d saciate this unconcious need by reading mangas, but Hive City offers ways for him to adquire this knowledge the Senyuu world could only have during a few minutes for a joke’s sake.

He had everything ready: TV, popcorn, soda, a free area so that he could pull manly fighting moves without breaking stuff and some soundproof foam covering the entrance to Futo’s bedroom. Now, all he had to do was to call a friend, so that this marathon will be perfect. And he knew exactly who to call!

[ There was something strangely nostalgic about the warm weight of a teapot in her hands, the familiar feeling of steam brushing her face as she filled a cup to the brim. Yet it was alien too, in some respects. She was a backup, after all, she attributed these feelings more to her other half than herself. Still, watching the tea slowly steep brought a sense of calm that she couldn't deny. It was almost pleasant, as out of place as her black coat and (dangerously) short skirt must look in the small kitchen space. ]

[ She wasn't quite sure what had brought her here... really, there was a lot that BB wasn't quite sure about. Maybe this was her programming defaulting on pre-established actions, it was hard to say. In any case, the AI was hardly sure what to do with herself. Escape this place? To what end? She'd accomplished what she'd set out to do, assuming her better half and that servant had succeeded in their goals... there wasn't anything waiting for her if she left. Staying complacent didn't really sit well with her either. ]

[ So absorbed in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed another enter the kitchen, looking up in mute surprise, and slight annoyance as her hand had jostled the cup of tea. She didn't like surpri-- ]

[ Ah. Those eyes. Strong eyes... good eyes. Dabbing absently at the small spillage, the girl smiled. ]

"You should really announce your presence, you know. Ah, but in this case, I might forgive you. ♥"
