@maximizedprophets @areies in regards to the post about lgbt+ women and the male gaze: ive been reading about the male gaze since my comment and now have a better understanding of what it meant, and i was wrong. what i was coming from then was as a trans boy i spent my whole life up to last year identifying as a woman. And during that time, i developed a severe fear of men. all the other kids told me i was replicating the male gaze for being attracted to girls and i was terrified of that. I know as a man i’m now part of that and this doesn’t really apply anymore so im sorry but i honestly am really struggling rn and needed to hear the post. i thought maybe other trans boys were scared of being part of the male gaze and part of the gender that as afab we grew up being attacked by idk im sorry. i didnt mean to take over a post for women and i know it wasn’t intended for men at all, i was just thinking about how i wished someone had told me everything in that post when i was younger and identified as a girl.
