❝ Tell them I’m never coming back. ❞ It was all a MISTAKE, she had decided. Stepping back into the light after running away as a young teen, stepping into this world her brother had found himself in. In a huge mansion with her powers so prone and enemies GALORE with so many eyes on this school. And her powers were like an nerve, raging and chaotic. Nothing like his speed, something that could be so harmless and within his control. Hers could explode at any given moment, putting everyone around her in danger. Much like when she was younger, leveling a whole block when she lost control after she had been attacked. NO MORE, she decided. No one else would be hurt because of her, especially not a place full of so many innocent children. This, this was better. Wanda knew the streets better than any sort of home after all these years. And no one she loved and cared about like her twin could be HURT.
But she hadn’t meant for him to find out like this. Hand on the door with just a single bag slung over her shoulder in the dead of night when everyone should be asleep, ready to just walk out. And for that, she was sorry. It must be easier to not see this. Much like her first time. She hadn’t even come home after the INCIDENT, disappearing and not letting her family know what she had done. Much less painful and easier to move on, or so Wanda figured. And easier for her as well. ❝ Trust me, it’s BETTER this way. No one had to worry about a literal time bomb walking around here. ❞ That was how she had come to feel since her youth. With how often her powers could escape her, how could she NOT?
