Daisy and Max met in a park when they were both thirteen. Daisy was reading a novel when she heard a crash and saw Max had fallen off his skateboard. Daisy went over to check on him. Max stood up and realized he sprained his ankle. His cellphone battery was dead, and he couldn't call anyone to pick him up. Max asked if she could help him back to his apartment building about a mile down the road. Daisy agreed and walked with him back to his apartment. Max talked Daisy's ear off the entire walk. When they arrived, Max gave Daisy his cellphone number. The two began a friendship, and the dynamic duo was born.
Russell and Leah were schoolmates with Daisy. Russell and Daisy were in many honor classes together. Leah was a troublemaker in school but wasn't a bad student and often worked with Daisy on group projects in the few classes they shared. Daisy introduced Max to Russell and Leah during a summer break.
When Daisy and the others were still teenagers, they met Alexandra and Jasper at a charity event the two young adults were holding. The group hit it off, and the teens continued to volunteer at Alexandra and Jasper's charity events. Alexandra and Jasper became mentors and good friends of Daisy, Max, Russell, and Leah.
The older adults let their friends live in their home as housemates after college. Alexandra placed an advertisement to rent out two extra rooms in the large home. The ad was answered by Oliver and Felicia, two friends who just ended their apartment lease. Oliver and Felicia quickly became friends with their new housemates. After a short time, Oliver and Felicia were no longer tenants but permanent members of the household. Keanu is Daisy's friend that she introduced to the group. Cassidy is Max's first cousin who he recently met and bonded with.
