Dumb idea I’ve had for awhile because I want Legend to be happy and I ship Maviolink:
So Ravio and Marin meet during the events of the original Hyrule Warriors and either A)Ravio has been confided in about the event of Koholint by Legend and immediately knows who Marin is and/or B)Marin sees Ravio without his hood on and immediately recognizes his similarities to Legend. So the two start chatting about their Link and immediately decide to be each other’s wing-person because Legend is as emotionally receptive as a brick.
With some finagling from Lana, Ravio is able to take Marin with him to Legend’s era of Hyrule. Of course when Legend first sees Marin he’ll probably doubt his perception of reality but after a long conversation and a lot of tears Legend finally gets the Marin is there to stay. I honestly don’t know how the relationships would develop from this point but I think this would happen before the Links are gathered together.

Sorry for taking so long to answer!
This AU was a little random and I never stopped to think much about it, so I had to take some time to see what my mind comes up with!
-For starters, I love the differences between Ravio and Marin. Like color palette, how Ravio is dressed for cold and Marin for hot weather. Those parallels made me think of the moon and sun, and my romantic ass was like 'it's ironic that Legend hates himself when he is so special to the point of being loved by the sun and the moon.' uwu
-I also love the idea that Ravio and Marin are a couple first. Since Mavioli came from the idea that 'Legend has two hands', I love anything that shows Ravio and Marin's relationship outside of Legend.
-My dumb ass hadn't thought about this before, but there's that old tale about a bunny on the moon. Like, that fits way to perfect for Ravio.
-Also, Time meeting Moon God Ravio and being like 'where were you when I was fighting the moon in Termina???' Ravio being Ravio, saw Majora fighting Mask and thought 'You know what? That's creepy as hell. I will leave it to you, kid. Good luck lol'
-The point is this was imagined like a fairytale I guess??? You know, impossible love and all that, since Legend is human and Marin and Ravio are gods.
-Not only that, Ravio and Marin are unable to really be with each other since they are opposites. They spend time writing letters that are exchanged using Sheerow and Marin's seagull.
-But since I'm a bitch for happy endings, I imagine that when Legend dies, he is turned into the Eclipse God. Being the eclipse, he can bring Ravio and Marin together and they all can love each other <3
